After some severe stressing over what to get my host family, Drew and I found the perfect gift today! We went to Borders to find a new Spanish dictionary and we came across the Southern cooking section. I have one thing to say: Paula Dean.
Inside the book I wrote them a little note. I wrote: "Thank you for showing me your culture, here is a little piece of mine. I believe that food is a great representation of a culture and these recipes are from my favorite Southern cook. (I tried to find this in Spanish but there isn't one)"
I'm thinking that this is going to be quite a long flight so I've packed a little bit of light entertainment just in case my sleeping pill doesn't work.
I'm thinking that this will keep me laughing. I can't wait to update you guys once we have internet access, but now is the time to go celebrate my last night in Atlanta at Las Margaritas. Crazy Bitch Bingo here I come!!!
